In Praise of Unsung Species

Rare and charismatic creatures capture our attention: some people will travel half the country to catch sight of a Golden Eagle.  But what if the wild and weird were much closer to home – in a local meadow, stream, woodland or hedge? Enjoy an evening in the company of four amazing Homo sapiens (sub-species: writers) to discuss and celebrate some of the ignored and unloved species who, with a bit of attention, turn out to be just as 'charismatic' as their more celebrated neighbours.
